Guards Take Playoff Opener!

baseball_2Bellarmine-Jefferson 19, La Sierra Academy 1: The Guards won only the second playoff game in the program’s history Tuesday, winning the CIF Southern Section Division VI wild-card game at Foy Park.

The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.

“This was a great win for us,” Bell-Jeff Coach Hector Perez said. “Being only the second playoff win in school history is something special.”
