burbanktasteIt’s not too early to start planning for “Taste of Downtown Burbank,” one of the San Fernando Valley’s biggest outdoor festivals, where restaurants serve samples of their most popular meals to people in attendance. Live music, beer and wine gardens, and great food are all available at this annual event on Thursday, October 1st, 2009. Proceeds from the tickets go to the Burbank Community YMCA scholarship program.

Attendees can sample delicacies from restaurants all along San Fernando Blvd between Magnolia and Orange Grove. In past years, as many as 40 restaurants participated in the event with samples of food from all over the world—Thai, Indian, Greek, Japanese, Italian and more. This culinary outdoor festival is guaranteed to make your mouth water. Gordon Biersch and Market Vintage Caffé will also offer samples of their best brews and vintage wines at the beer and wine garden, located on the AMC walkway.

Other vendors from previous years included Granville Gourmet Café, Pomodoro Cucina Italiana, Picanha Churrascaria Brazilian Grill, Coldstone Creamery—the list goes on and I’m only getting hungrier. Endless amounts of tasty food mixed with performances from live bands makes this a feast you do not want to miss.

“Taste of Downtown Burbank” is one of many annual events sponsored by the Downtown Burbank Partnership, a California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation. Ticket sales for the event go to the YMCA scholarship fund, which ensures that YMCA programs and memberships are affordable for everyone in the community.

Tickets are available online August 15th. For more information please visit: www.tasteofdowntownburbank.com
