unemploymentOn January 14, Woodbury University in Burbank and Business Life Magazine will host the 2010 Economic Recovery Forum, “Access to Capital and Creating Jobs,” a timely topic. Business Life Magazine is the only business publication to link the San Gabriel Valley and San Fernando Valley business markets with the Tri-cities of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena. Keynote speakers at the Economic Recovery Forum are Alberto G. Alvarado, district director for the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Jennifer Grutzius, chief of staff for the Governor’s California Recovery Task Force.

The Basics:

  • Thursday, January 14
  • 7:15am – 10:00am
  • Woodbury University – Fletcher Jones Foundation Auditorium (7500 N. Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank)
  • Admission – $25

I didn’t find a whole lot of detailed information about this event, with the exception of an article in Massis Weekly:

“Small business are the most reliable job creators we have, “said Greg Krikorian, executive vice president of marketing for Business Life Magazine, “and they are vital to our overall economic recovery. This forum will give an outline of business tools that are needed to create jobs and help lead our nation back to prosperity. Improving the state of our country’s economy is of the utmost importance. Uncertain over the impact of additional taxes, health care reform, cost of cap-and-trade and the unfriendly business environment are some of the reasons causing small business to hold back and tighten up…

“Our goal it to promote economic recovery by helping to facilitate actions that inform and expedite deployment of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds and develop creative strategies which will develop jobs and improve our economy, “said John Krikorian, Publisher Business Life Magazine.”
